Lockdown Thoughts 2.14 - Preparing for Level 3

The factory are readying themselves for a safe return to work when we move to Level 3 tomorrow. We have published our Level 3 plan on-line (www.HamiltonJet.com/global/staff-updates), made all the necessary arrangements inside the factory, and published a start time for all 18 bubbles which we will have in operations. This is a significant task and I would like to thank everyone involved, but specifically Rob Carroll who has carried the leadership load of getting us here. Well done everyone.

Start times will be staggered to ensure the bubbles do not cross-contaminate and everyone will attend a briefing in their bubble group at the start of work. We will review the plans with everyone and in particular highlight the rule changes such as mask wearing. I know this will not be popular and I sympathise as I do not enjoy wearing masks either. However, the rules are in place to keep everyone safe and it is a vital part of our protection as individuals and a business.

Other rules will be similar to the last Level 3. Cleaning will remain a frequent activity, both for the general site and for work flowing between cells. We will also take appropriate precautions as parts arrive on site and get booked in. It is critical that we all follow the rules. Our business is lucky to be returning to work as a longer delay would strain the already tense relationships with our customers.

For those remaining at home, I wish you well. It is not much fun, and we all hope it won’t be much longer before we return to the office. In the meantime stay positive and reach out if you need anything or just want a chat.

I snapped the attached photo as the One News team left our site today. If you are interested you may want to tune in at 6pm tonight as they were keen to hear how a business like ours will operate safely under Level 3. I think we are a shining example of how to do it well.
