Q1. Tell us about your first HamiltonJet project with us.

Our first project with HamiltonJet was in 2007 and it was a project called Project Xena where we powered five Namacurras for the South African Navy with Yanmar 4LHA-STP's & HJ241's.

Q2. When did your relationship with HamiltonJet start?

We have been working with Hamilton Jet since 2006.

Q3. What is your most memorable HamiltonJet moment?

The most memorable moment for me was from the 2019 Distributor Conference where we went to Spain and were hosted by Clamp Espana. The technical day included a trip out on a Rodman vessel where we were set to achieve speed of over 50 knots.

Q4. What has been your most interesting vessel project in the last year and why?

Our most interesting vessel project in the last year was through our service department where we supported HamiltonJet with the service and maintenance of a quad HM811 ferry, which operates in the Caspian Sea and this work was done in dry dock in Baku, in Azerbaijan.

Q5. What achievement are you most proud of?

The team at Seascape Marine Services and the relationships that we have built with our principals and suppliers, like HamiltonJet.

Q6. What is the most popular jet in your area?

The most popular jet in our area is the HJ292.

Q7. How did you get into the marine industry and why?

I started at the age of 21 at Seascape Marine Services, which was formerly called IMS. They were looking for a Junior Sales Assistant and obviously coming from a family of Ship Captains and Marine Engineers, it was the first logical port of call for me.

Q8. Which segment do you anticipate the largest growth in the coming years?

Definitely transfer ferries in the oil and gas industry.

Q9. Where do you see the marine industry going in the next 5 to 10 years?

Obviously, there will be a huge drive towards electric propulsion and alternative fuels and as well as hydrogen.

Q10. What would you say has been the biggest challenge you've experienced and solved in the last year?

Our biggest challenge we have had is our issues with supply chain, logistics and rising costs. We can't control those.

Q11. What do you do to relax in your spare time?

To relax in my spare time I do triathlon.
